Can I sell my car to THIScar without buying one?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! THIScar will buy your vehicle, even if you're not buying one from us. Just fill out our simple online appraisal form. Once you receive your offer, you can swing by one of our many buying centers for a quick inspection and walk away with your check!

Question 2

What is the best price?

At THIScar, we post the actual selling price on every vehicle. Just like the last pair of jeans you bought, the price you see is the price you pay, no more, no less. Just honest, transparent, no-haggle prices.

What are my financing options?

We use a variety of banks and lenders to make sure we get you the best terms you qualify for. We have several national lenders as well as local credit unions. Call us to get started! Apply for financing here.

Question 4

Can I sell/trade in my vehicle if I still owe money on it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can sell to us or trade-in your vehicle even if you owe money on it. If you owe less than the appraisal, we will pay off your lender and give you the difference. If you owe more than the current market value of the vehicle, we can work with our lenders to roll that 'negative equity' into your new loan.

Where do THIScar cars come from?

THIScar sources 100% of our inventory from people just like you, who are ready to trade up or simply sell their current vehicle.  Once we purchase each vehicle we conduct a thorough inspection and determine whether or not we believe the vehicle is high enough quality to market for retail sale or whether we simply need to send the unit to an auction. We NEVER purchase vehicles from auctions!

Question 6

Why are some vehicles marked as Coming Soon?

The vehicles you see on our website that are marked as Coming Soon are vehicles that we will most likely have available in the coming days.  Our agents should be able to answer simple questions about these vehicles and may even be able to provide pictures and/or detailed information, (depending on the vehicles location and status in the process), provide you with a preliminary purchase agreement showing all estimated charges in the event it becomes available, etc.  A preliminary purchase agreement should not be considered binding until the vehicle has passed all inspections and the agreement is signed by both parties.  Some vehicles that show as Coming Soon may ultimately not become available for a number of reasons.  In the event a Coming Soon vehicle does not become available, we will remove it from our website.

Question 7

Can I test drive a car?

Of course ... All vehicles that are located at our Tomball location are available for a test drive.  We do request a copy of a valid driver's license, a copy of an insurance card and a thumbprint prior to giving you the keys.  This is for our protection and yours.

Question 8

How does the 30-day exchange work?

Accepted Answer

At THIScar, we're all about getting you exactly what you want. That is why we offer an exclusive No Questions Asked 30-day Vehicle Return Policy.  All you have to do is let us know within 30-days or 1,000 miles (whichever comes first) of delivery that you want to exchange your vehicle for another from our vast inventory.  You then simply return the car to our delivery center in the same condition you received it in, within 30 days and 1,000 miles. Vehicle shipping/transportation charges will apply and are not refundable.  Limit 2 exchanges per initial transaction.  If your transaction involved a trade in, it may not always be possible to return the trade in, so you would receive a check for the amount of equity you had in your trade in vehicle.  If you were "upside down" in your trade in, you would be responsible for paying the negative equity in order to return the vehicle.  Meanwhile, we'll work with you to find one that fits your needs. Just ask one of our friendly sales associates for details ... they love helping!  Note: 30-day exchange policy applies to domestic sales only.

Can I return a car I buy from THISCar?

Absolutely! We know everyone doesn't always make the right choice the first time, that is why every vehicle we sell comes with a 30 day exchange option. If you decide the vehicle is not right for you (for any reason), just let us know and bring it back within 30 days or 1,000 miles (whichever comes first). You would only be responsible for the transportation charges and a $1,500 restocking fee.  Meanwhile, we'll help you find a replacement vehicle that meets your needs.

How do I get my car?

Our vehicles are located all over the country, so when you find “the one”, we help arrange financing, take a small deposit and we ship your vehicle in, just for you! We can deliver directly to your home or you can save a little time and money by picking it up directly from our incredible delivery center.

Question 11

What can I expect buying a vehicle I haven't seen?

Buying a vehicle sight unseen is not unlike buying one in person, with a few minor exceptions.   One is the obvious ... you do not have to spend time driving around and selecting the vehicle.  Having it delivered is very convenient.  Another difference is you obviously can not "see it in person", but we can take videos and pictures of your vehicle before shipping.  Mileage may also vary ...Mileage listed is accurate at time of listing and can change due to vehicle movement, local test drives and other logical reasons. Mileage will typically be within 1,000 miles of the mileage shown in the listing. If the exact mileage is important to you, please verify prior to purchase.   If you have any questions, please give us a shout.  We are more than happy to help!

Question 12

Does THIScar buy vehicles with branded titles?

THIScar does not buy vehicles with branded (Salvage, rebuilt, bonded, flood, etc).  During our purchasing process (and up to 48 hours after) if we discover that a vehicle  has a branded title, we will terminate the transaction and can not move forward.  If the purchase occurs after 5 pm on the week days or on the weekend, we reserve the right to review all paperwork and sellers disclosures in order to verify the accuracy of all documentation, and to verify that the title is not branded in any way.

How many locations does THIScar have?

THIScar's main location is in Tomball, Tx.  This is the only location for consumers that are purchasing a vehicle from us.  We have several other locations that are Buying Centers.  These locations are strictly for consumers to sell their vehicle to THIScar.  Please refer to our locations page on our website for our most recent location information.
